Word of the Year Weekly Planner

A custom weekly planner for intentionally tracking your Word of the Year goals.

What is a “Word of the Year” anyway?

Have you chosen your Word of the Year for 2020? This is a single word that will be the foundation for your goals and help you frame your mindset for the coming year? Choosing a single word to shape your entire year is a concept I first began in 2007 – way back when Ali Edwards was the only one talking about it (here’s a link to that One Little Word blog post in 2007 that got me hooked!).  Her words in that article back then still ring true whenever I’m choosing my new word:

…a word to focus on, meditate on, and reflect upon as I go about my daily life.

Nowadays it’s the hot new buzzword (buzzphrase?) and everyone is jumping on the bandwagon and I’m so excited! If this is your first time choosing a word – hold on tight! I truly believe this is going to change your life! If you’re like me and have been choosing a word for many years – I’d love to hear your story and how this practice has impacted your life, your goals, and your well-being.

I am so passionate about choosing a single word to guide my goals, actions, mindset, and decisions throughout an entire year and now I’m thrilled to be sharing that experience with you. It’s such a personal decision, but I’d love to help you showcase it with a custom printable for your planner, journal or as a print worthy of framing.  Pick a design you love. Tell me your word and what it means to you, and I’ll customize the print for you. Let’s start playing!

Need help choosing your Word?

I’ve written a blog post about how I choose my word each year. Maybe my technique can help you pick yours. Head over to “How to Choose a Word of the Year” on the blog. If you need ideas, I can help with that too! Just scroll down to the bottom of this page for a big ol’ list of words.

Setting goals for 2020

Once you have your Word of the Year Goal Planner and Tracker book, you can begin setting your action tasks for each day of the year. Inside the planner you’ll find 52 weekly layouts where you can set tasks and journal about how you’re progressing with your goals. On the left side of the two-page spread is a weekly layout to list your daily tasks. On the right side is a blank (dot grid) page where you can record your progress, draw or doodle, or make big plans for the coming week.
